Still, since you paid $92 (or $237 inflation-adjusted) for a coin that is now worth over $1600, you can't be said to have done too badly...but I'd still be holding if I were you.

The lock box may not be the best solution for Kate.

Just another of the many ways Obama will say, "Gotcha", after the end of this year.

You know, we never even think about them. They don't seem a part of our investments for some reason. I'm suspect we'll hold on to them forever and leave them to our children who think they're cool to look at. Our kids also love the story of how we got them, part of which I didn't mention. Waiting in one of the lines for an hour, we entered into a lively conversation with some Mexican nationals and ended up being invited to a wedding reception at one of the nicer hotels. The thing turned out to be beyond lavish. The couple were from wealthy families connected to the government. The highlight was the mistress of the then current president of Mexico being there. There's no way to describe how incredibly, jaw-dropping beautiful this woman was. Like beyond this world beautiful. No one here could name a movie star that equals that woman's natural beauty. Under the ordinary lighting of the penthouse suite, much of it overhead chandelier type, she looked like a beauty who had been filmed using special lenses, airbrushing, you name it. Absolute perfection. And she seemed to have a sweetness to her, too. No apparent airs as she circulated through the rooms, smiling and chatting with people. The president himself was not there, but she was accompanied by another government official and a bodyguard. In fact, there were several obvious bodyguards in the rooms, and we kept trying to discern who they were guarding so we could keep our distance, lol, not get caught in a crossfire.

The whole thing was a world far removed from our own, and it was a hoot getting a peak into it.

Centenarios are beautiful coins.

It's what I have for bullion. Otherwise, gold ETFs and miners.
