To Market Watchers:

Have you noticed the "V" in today's charts? Many of our favorite semi stocks, as well as indexes such as DJIA, S&P500 and SOX moved in tandem. They descended until about 1:15ET and have been up since then. Even Ron Insana on CNBC commented about a "classic rebound" in the market.

What happened today? Did all the traders go to lunch at the same time and have a couple extra martinis?

This is interesting in that AMAT has seemed to follow very closely to the DJIA the last week. When does it decouple? Have we seen its bottom? Three times this year we've been at about the same low price.

Any predictions about the bottom?

Vince, I don't know about LEAPs of other companies. I bought the 4/share LEAPs when the stock was at 23 (not even at the bottom at 21 3/4); the LEAPs could have been sold at 80/share a year later. The stock gained 400% from bottom price to Top price in 1 year but the LEAPs even did better at 1900%...LEAPs are a candy store for investors in AMAT if bought and sold at the right times!...The opportunity for huge profit is there but its upon the investor's shoulder to realize it...
