Gary, Lighten up on Rocky....

He told us to sell IOM in the mid-teens. He shorted IOM all the way up to $22.

He told us that COMS was steal anywhere under $50.
He told us that AOL was going to charge through $90.

Based on his records I'd say he's more of a trader than an investor, which makes you wonder about his current trades in INTC and CPQ. As an investor I hold both, but the last few weeks have hurt a little, but nothing like the hurt Rocky has been through. (I'm sure he will tell a different tale).

Never mind, give him everything he deserves. I remember this thread encouraging him to buy in the teens - but you can't help those who won't listen to reason.

take care

p.s. Truff, glad you're still in the Iomega game. I'd miss your wit if you left us.

How was I wrong?

I was very worried that there might be an announcement of consequence today. There was none. As always, I made no predictions of the stock price.

Every time this stock bumps up to 28-29, people on this thread insult me. Then it drops back into the mid twenties. This has been going on for a while. That's fine. Meanwhile, Iomega is still a one product company. That product is selling very well, but the number of competitors out there are increasing, not decreasing.

biz.yahoo.com

Note the line about IDE and parallel port configurations being available "shortly," while the SCSI available in the first quarter of next year. Also note the paragraph about Sanyo.

>>Once again, you both were WRONG!!!<<

My my, aren't we touchy today? Whats the matter, did something happen to make you mad, or was it something THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN?

What didn't happen was any "Big Announcement."

Iomega continues to insult the intelligence of consumers with its P.T. Barnum-like antics, and follows through with no substantially new news and a long delay of Clique? to boot. You can be sure that Iomega did nothing today to increase its acceptance on Wall Street today. In fact, they only reinforced the notion that they are a trashy, lowest common denominator company who, like the schoolroom class clown, will do nearly anything for attention.

Clique is just that. A small group of people will find this device useful. In the meantime, you should look over your shoulder at the likes of Fuji to introduce something similar before next Summer.
