Sure and I agree but the iPad, and for what it costs and what such a device can do, is somewhat underpowered when you go beyond just reading emails or browsing the web. The paradigm shift from desktops and laptops has begun and the tablets, IMHO of course, will dominate the computing uses for most people, if the hardware is right and the apps are there.

Business wise the one thing I can't do well is spreadsheets, and I think that's more an interface (software) problem than a horsepower problem.

Yes of course pads will get much more powerful. Probably in less than a week <g>. I just don't think it's going to be like the PC model, where in the beginning speed was everything. And still is to an extent.

Pads are about easy of use and convienence. And that has Apple written all over it. IMHO "it's the software stupid".

IMO for 90% of current iPad users number 1, 2, and 3 improvement would be significant weight reduction. Other are nice features but an approximately Kindle weight iPad would be great, not that the weight can be reduced that much. iPad, with what's advertised in the upcoming version, can beat the Android tablets on 1. Cost and 2. Weight for 90% of users.
