To the extent that it was Bush's policy to get more and more Americans to own houses, to that extent it was partially Bush's fault.

It's infuriating that Democrats have escaped all responsibility for Fannie/Freddie when they were behind it and caused the failure.

The entire Banking Committee should have been impeached and replaced for negligence and stupidity. That it wasn't, speaks volumes of GOP cowardice, everyone afraid to cast the first stone.... So, the Dems were left to police themselves which is akin to having Libya on the Human Rights Commission....
