Good points, surely. I have an open mind with a tendency to suspect gov't of dirty doings. When I get time I'll search for hard info.

The US spent 2 Billion dollars in the 40s developing nuclear weapons and most people were complete unaware of the fact - until Hiroshima that is.

What's 2 billion in today's dollars?

And you claim that they couldn't cover up a few millions spent on the futures market to trigger rallies????? When the people in the know would have a vested interest to keep quiet?

How and who is clear. As for why, that one is easy. MONEY. Those in the know would profit from silence in many ways.

I'm not saying the Fed is manipulating but saying they couldn't keep it secret is a very weak statement.
