I agree with you...I think Gary may step down. I think Picturetel has a n earnings restatement problem this year and then a couple months later a few execs exited

Frank,

I think this would be a logical move. Whatever the extent of GJ involvement
in the erroneous reporting, even if zero, it happened on his watch.

However, if this will be the only change it won't be enough. There must be
a change in the composition of the Board. We either need to see replacement
of insiders with reputable, independent outsiders, or enlarge the Board
adding reputable outsiders.

Without change at the Board level it will remain a rubber stamp Board
and any CEO will be a lame duck. Granted, if the new CEO is a greater
visionary and strategist than GJ it is a move forward, but never forget
it is this Board that got you into the trouble, can you entrust them with
getting the company out of this trouble as well?

You can't fire the whole team so change the coach.

If there is going to be a change it will probably be announced after the
release of the audit results. GJ will be the fall guy and the BoD will hope
that will pacify the investing community enough to get them of their backs.

I strongly believe we must continue to pressure for changes at the Board
level and do so more directly.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new CEO as well. However, is it possible to get a good person at a reasonable price. My guess is that there is not exactly an excess of talented people available.I realize that there are some people who are hired to turn companies around, but I don't think Siii has sunk quite far enough for that (pending earnings statement). So, the question is can Siii acquire a good CEO. At least his stock options would be priced very low so that should be an inducement :(

On another note, should Siii get in to the board making business a la ATI?
