Just read an analysis of the nuclear industry in the FT. Good coverage on the future of this industry, but as always, many uncertainties linger until a conclusive study can be produced from what has occurred in Fukushima.

The number of reactors under construction, planned and proposed reactors they gave was 538 worldwide, of which 187 from China and 63 from India. Even these countries have put a halt to construction of new reactors pending investigation on the safety of nuclear power. They're predicting that coal and gas would increase in usage in China in the short term.

Somehow I don't see China backing 100% away from nuclear power, so there is still hope for players in the nuclear industry, but what do I know?

Interesting fact is that Nikkei went up by 5.68% yesterday, do they know something that we don't? This has been echoed by stock markets in South East Asia.
