This disaster in Japan is most likey already worse than Chernobyl. All food had to be destroyed for over 200 miles from chernobyl. radiation falls on the grass and children who drink the milk from cows who graze on that grass have 87 to 1 rates of thyroid cancer.

Some official estimates are that Chernobyl killed 500,000 people.

The entire country of Japan could be seriously contaminated and not only would many die and suffer, but their economy would collapse.

In short it is a really huge tragedy. Radiation is not just some silly particals floating around.

My heart goes out to the Japanese people.
