I'm not surprised -- I figured they'd load up this quarter with everything that could possibly ever go wrong. The question is if the company can clean up its act before their financing runs out.

Not sure how we got to such a massive earnings suprise while basically getting little information at all coming from Cityscape officers.

Are these losses strategic writeoffs to eliminate the debt problems or did these losses originate outside of their current situation with creditors ?

I hope it is the latter, since I would be pretty concerned if they were aware of this months ago and released so little information regarding the tremendous difference, outside of the one very recent statement that "earnings" would be significantly lower. Perhaps they should have mention that they were looking at "losses"...Did they explain their reasons for such secrecy lately ?

I think we'll see some upward movement, but I doubt we will see it near a $3 figure.
