"Wars happen." Lots easier than peace, too. Afterthought Civil War wasn't genocidal cuz the South valued and needed slave labor. Today might be different.

>Wars happen Yes, but there are rules to conducting wars. Wholesale roundup and slaughter of civilians is a no no. The Civil War, on the other hand, was a battle between armed combatants. There's the important distinction. Targeting and killing innocent civilians, particularly of a certain race/religion etc.., is genocide. When there's a weakling being attacked, then there's the duty of the bye stander to step in and intervene. It's like the incidences in NYC where a woman was being raped at the point of a knife and nobody called the cops. It should be human nature to come to the aid of the beaten down.
