i suspect it's much ado about nothing. the moon has affected the tides over a very long period of time, not great gravitational effect. it's a small gravitational effect that is amplified through time by being there constantly since the earth began. the coming alignment is a very short duration temporary event. my guess is that it will affect just about nothing. (now watch an earthquake happen on that date)
