That issue was put on the ballot here and the people voted to get rid of it. But then in politics, the roles may be reversed in 10 years when the Republicans are in the majority. Hence both the parties here are lukewarm, it seems.

Yep... it's not a Rep or Dem issue. Gerrymandering is a people's issue. The party in power loves it. Makes us more like Libya... before.
