Good post Jim. I think I am pretty clearly on the record that I believe markets and technology will solve the coming issues of energy supply. It has always been so for the history of the planet and I see no reason it will not continue.

Now - you sir are a young man - I on the other hand am north of 60 so how this all plays out is more likely for the younger amongst us. I got a real laugh when my wife and I got a 30 mortgage at age 61.

Over the years I have heard at least twice that we were running out of natural gas - ergo the two phases of LNG build out - and now we are awash in the stuff.

One weekend we had a great discussion re how many us started our working careers with slide rules. Could we ever have imagined today? I doubt we can imagine what lies ahead - and I am hopeful it will be positive.

Frankly I am far more concerned about our ability to manage our national finances than I am energy supply.

Bob

Right on JimP and I will add to those who talk of NG being a bridging fuel. That bridge is a "drawbridge", just like the ladder analog you use.
