RE: ML believes that it will take more than a year before the bugs are worked out, the processes developed and optimized, before volume orders begin for production fab lines.

DUV has been used in labs for several years now. I sincerely expect most "bugs" will be worked by 2000, a full five years after serious DUV work began.

Ian: I cannot disagree with what you have said in #1 or #2. I am a little curious as to point #3. While I agree with your belief that the long term prospects of the semi-equipment area are promising (I don't think I said otherwise), does this mean that you intend to hold on to your positions through any cyclical downturn you may see on the horizon?
