Really, tell that to Intel. The 233MMX takes the place of 166 you understand.

BTW. Are you holding AMD stock. Looks like Jerry and the AMD management sold stock in the 30's. Only people, like you and the old ladies, swindled by the analyst/brokers remain holding .

Take care of your AMD stock. It could turn into something useful, such as paper airplanes.

I think you are failing to grasp Intel's objectives.

They will be selling Pentium II devices with >233 MHz speed at nearly the same price point as competitive 6x86MX and K6 devices that run at 200 MHz or less.

Intel will make the Pentium II as the entry level CPU of choice.

It worked for Intel during the 286 -> 386, 386 -> 486, 486 -> Pentium transitions.

It will probably work again.
