Yes, I assume the FBI has the purview of vetting the final two in the running for POTUS. But I also assume my retired neighbor is familiar with the capabilities of all the intelligence gathering agencies. So I wasn't suggesting the NSA itself is involved. I do think the whole issue comes down to whether or not the vetting agency in charge has the capability to do the job and can be trusted to do it.
