Lots of people had doubts during the build-up to that war. I sure had them and I was sitting out here in podunk Arkansas and following the UN inspections just with their released reports. It all smelled to me and not from reading editorials or opinion pieces. At the time, it looked to me like the tide pulled people with doubts into the groundswell of fear. Even the slimmest possibility that some ultra-dangerous WMD existed was enough for people to keep their fears to themselves.

I was a little surprised, though, that absolutely nothing was found. Thought at least mustard gas was still being stored somewhere.
