Tito,

What is the preferred strategy for selecting a time horizon? How far out of the money and in the future do you go and/or recommend?

That is essentially the big hang up I have w/options - predicting direction, magnitude, and time. The only other options I am involved with are illiquid (equity in the privately held start up that I work for) and have never really given it much thought.

Thanks for the help,

Scott Brooks

Tito & ALL, Currency Woes no Crisis for Chip Gear Industry. says today's IBD on page A2...

The financial crisis in Asia and Latin America will
have little impact on the semiconductor equipment
market, says Information Network, a Williamsburg,
VA based research firm. Asian firms have fought furiously
to gain market share in the memory chip market.
Now, the industry is upgrading to more advanced chips.
Asian firms must invest in new manufacturing systems
or be left behind. Many Asian governments are funding
fab construction.

tito, am i the only threader that likes short term options on amat... the volitility's there... and playing them on the dips sure makes in easier to hold the stock... I honestly don't think I'd have held on from 26 - 100 if I hadn't been adding and subtracting short term options... with quite decent results... along the way
