Ummm... Someone posted that they thought (as I did) that Hillary was bananas back when she spoke of a "vast right wing conspiracy."

That was me.....I thought she was overly paranoid.

I suspect that Obama experienced his "Hillary moment" in the health care effort - eight months of "negotiations" that were in effect nothing but stalling tactics that in the end yielded not a single Republican vote. He's not going to play that game any more. Obama the campaigner spoke of reaching across the aisle, building consensus and solving problems. Well, that didn't work, so in that sense he must behave differently. One thing we knew all along... Obama's a quick study.

I believe he knew from the getgo that the Rs are not ones with whom you can negotiate. He did what he did because that's what Americans were expecting. Poll after poll continue to show Americans do not want gridlock....they want the two sides to work together. By following that edict, Obama is making the Rs look bad.

I need to add.......too many Americans really don't get how badly screwed up the GOP is.......how the extremists have hijacked the party and those who are not extreme tend to be corrupted. Its too bad.......by the time Americans wake up this country can be a much bigger hole than it already is.
