If peak cheap oil is here and I believe it is, then the current business model for the airlines doesn't work. Let's name the US airlines business model "Cattle drive at 30k feet". You are treated no different then piece of meat sitting in a chair. So much fun... It barely worked with cheap fuel. I don't see the major airlines surviving over the next few years without major changes. Most likely, the greyhound in sky is over for huddled masses.
