Hell I started work at like 12-13 that was almost 50 years ago those people are probably dead. I didn't know their phone number or addresses back then

So it becomes an arbitrary decision for a bureaucrat or his bosses up the line to decide who gets a passport and who doesn't.

Someone in the comment section of the original link brought up that the UN Charter (which the US has ratified) states that an individual has the right to leave and re-enter his or her country of origin.

The nearly impossible requirements of completing this proposed document would seem to contradict that right..
