Peak oil is a volume measure, not a dollar measure.

It's a production-at-price measure. When prices are fairly static, it can be treated more or less as you describe above, but that isn't a valid description when prices are volatile.

It isn't a curve, it's a surface, with one axis being price.

I didn't make any comment regarding global warming or CO2 or reglaciation or any of the other issues you mentioned, so I'm not sure what you are trying to address with that...?
