Its really too bad that your experiences have led you to believe there should be no expectation of privacy on the Internet and as a result, its OK for Steve Jobs to upload your geodata. There probably should be less privacy on the Internet. It world probably be more civil, like the rest of society. And that includes the advertisers that stalk you, you should know who exactly they are. And you shouldn't have to jump through digital hoops to do it. EVERY cell phone has to upload your geodata, otherwise they couldn't transfer you from one cell tower to another. How do you think that happens? At the end of this fiasco I'll bet the carriers are going to be the biggest trackers. I don't say "worst" trackers because the essence of a "cell" phone is to track you, so they can transfer you from cell to cell. Nature of the beast.
