What does all that have to do with whether corporations should be taxed or not? When you stop talking in circles maybe you won't be so dizzy.

All that tribe stuff aside, as long as one realizes what a corporate tax is, the discussion can make sense. It's the mindless "tax the corporations" mantra, without any realization of exactly what is being called for, that I object to. And it's just another way for politicians to raise the taxes on you and me without taking the direct responsibility for doing so.

While it is called a "corporate INCOME tax', it is actually a consumer CONSUMPTION tax with the corporation acting as the tax collector.

There are reasons to have an income tax (generally penalizes making income, and one gets less of it as a result) or a consumption tax (generally penalizes consumption, and one gets less of it as a result), or some mix of the two, at which point all the 'tribe' stuff factors into the conversation.

It's dishonest to use the term corporate tax to imply the tax isn't being paid by you and me, but some soulless company (the very same soulless company that provides employment for most of us, but that's another conversation). Make no mistake, when you clamber for higher corporate tax you are really calling for the right to pay more for your goods and services.
