That's a bullshit post.

Panetta clearly stated yesterday that waterboarding was used in getting information relevant to the investigation:

Asked by NBC-TV’s Brian Williams about the information obtained from detainees that led to the bin Laden takedown, Panetta replied: ‘We had multiple series of sources that provided information with regards to this situation. … Clearly some of it came from detainees [and] they used these enhanced interrogation techniques against some of those detainees.”
When Williams asked whether "waterboarding" was one of those techniques, Panetta replied: “That’s correct.”

Now, one can take the position that the data points obtained were not significant to the investigation, but that is a rather absurd argument when you consider that it was (a) the earliest lead on bin Laden from which all other leads stemmed, and (b) it is coming from an administration that has been DEAD WRONG on practically every criticism of the Bush administration, and has had to backpedal on a sizable majority of major issues (e.g., GITMO -- which ALSO was crucial). Further, Obama has continued the very practice (rendition) that led to the waterboarding. The reality is we have no idea whether they would STILL waterboard someone if the circumstances warranted. Just as Bush would have.
