Not only that, they washed your windows and headlights, emptied the ashtray and garbage and checked under the hood. (I never let them check under the hood for fear that I might need oil... I just didn't have another 25 cents for a quart.)

You can still purchase gas for the same price, if you use the same silver coins you used then.

One silver dime is worth about $4.00 right now.

It's not that gas went up .. the problem is that the paper money isn't worth as much.
