I just think the whole thing is the equivalent of a felon telling the warden, "I don't agree to a weapons search tonight. In fact, get the hell outta my cell. I'm busy making a knife outta this tin can."

I'm normally 100% for a nation's sovereignty and the U.S. keeping our noses outta other folks bizness, but this case is different.

This guy has "the power" and has proven himself to be an extraordinarily bad poker player as evidenced by his inabilty to extricate himself from the Kuwait mess.
He had several chances to get out of it with minimal losses, but was foolish enough to try a bluff.
Scary dude.

I really wish there was some way to take him out of the picture, but I agree with the camp that believes this would make a bad situation even worse.
I hate to even think about what would happen in the vacumn he would leave if we DID drop a bomb in his lap.
Then we'd REALLY have a mess.
