Doug are you referring to things like PCS and GSM. RE: hand receiver - like VLSI and ERICY's deal where VLSI supplies some chip for ERICY's "little" phones? Sorry not current with the wireless world's terminology! I think LSI has some thing with QCOM and a new GSM chip for next year. They may have much more. Don't know.
