<<10-14 bucks is what
this company has been trading in since its initial offereing. >>
JOHN, LGND's all time low is 5 1/2 and its high is 19 3/4. It set a 52-week high of 18 3/8 last month.

I post on this board every 6 months or so. I know nothing about the
biotech field but I do know that you can trade this stock. I have made
8 points on this stock this year. Considering that the stock is now
at 14, then I have made 55% or so. It does not move up quickly but
with patience, it can be traded, the spread is reasonable and you
just have to hang in there when it starts to sink. I personally love
the stock and am currently in it, I just bought during the last
down draft. This stock could do this forever. Good LUck to all, esp.
Henry.

As pointed out, LGND was down friday over 25% from its 52 week high set only 1 month ago. This has occurred after what has been said on this thread to be positive news, yet the street has thought otherwise. Even the prospect of a (rumored) story in BusinessWeek (now two weeks late) didn't help the price in the past two weeks. I'm starting to wonder how many of those 25k buys last month were sold in 1k lots the past month.

Why wasn't the streets reaction to this deal positive? (based on the stock price is was negative). And why were last qtr's results over 15% lower than estimates? When the stock trades continually below yesterdays 'buying opportunity', maybe we're missing something.

Even Michael Murpy of CTSL was right when he said not to chase LGND over $16 -- Looks like he was right this time.

>>WHEN WILL SOMEONE MAKE ANY
MONEY ON THIS COMPANY who has held onto this stock for the last 3 years..
Does someone have to wait 3-4 yrs until they can get out of the red, before this stock
moves?<<

Let me see - I bought in Jul. 95 at 8 (thanks to Henry!!) , and could have sold awhile back for over 18, but didn't. I am happy still holding at 14.
