The more I look the better AVNT looks, as a short that is. The Silvaco ruling seems to have come out of the blue. How many other suits are pending against AVNT? The Cadence case appears to have gained credibility by this recent ruling. My Lexis-Nexis link is down at the moment and I'll post anything I get from a Lexis search. Its not only the dollars but with the Cadence and Silvaco rulings the AVNT product line has shrunk. Also, Cadence is apparently suing some AVNT customers (see open letter from AVNT president on their web site) and they may be getting nervous.

They don't mention in their press release today that the bond they have to post in order to appeal is 150% of the court award. Let's see... 31.4 X 1.5 is a check for around 47.1 MILLION dollars (US) that Avant? has to deposit no later then next week. OUCH!!!! Maybe that will put a dent in the market cap
