Petz - Re: "If K6-233 prices drop to $230 - $250 shortly, it will show that the speed bin yield problem has mostly been solved, although the overall yield is too low at this point to have a prayer of producing 2M processors this quarter"

AMD cut the official price of the K6-233 MHzto $225 on Nov.3, 3 days BEFORE they announced that yields were still in the crapper.

infoworld.com

"Effective Monday, AMD's 233-MHz K6 processor is priced at $225, down 22 percent from the previous price of $289; the 200-MHz version is priced at $160, down from $189, a 15 percent reduction; and the 166-MHz version is priced at $84, down 23 percent from $109, Frink said. All prices are per unit for 1,000-unit quantities. "
