Back in the early 60's when I had my first job and my first child I got paid twice a month. We always hated months that had three weekends in a pay period because we were out of money. In order to go to a movie or buy a six-pack we would take all the pop bottles we saved in the garage down to the store and get the deposit back - $0.02 each. Sometimes that was the difference between a nice weekend and a boring one.
