That splintering sound you hear is the growing schism in these disunited states.

And why you think liberals should behave better than conservatives is perplexing. The right has set the tone for years. The left is simply following their lead.

For which he apologized and offered to take an unpaid vacation instead of trying to brazen it out.

Something a winger would never do. I don't care for Ed all that much, but he at least realized he had crossed a line and manned up.
