thread, novell's managewise will manage all the different pc's quite well. The other O/S's all have great management tools. but the management tool is part of the O/S not the hardware. It does the works regardless of the pc. right down to software auto-installs when a pc logs in and it's out of rev. on a peice of software(sub conponent of managewise). Most real Network manager's DO NOT USE the compaq management system unless it's for the 100 megbit backbone components like your mule pcs and your servers. It's a backbone diagnostic tool only and not a reason to buy compaq's. Meathead still hasn't found the answwer to what in the heck is a mule pc<ggg>
