You're on your own there!! ;-) I can't speak for Ellen, but I believe she practices what you do, replying in kind. If I had to guess, based on my belief she is very bright and in control, she would probably stop also. Stopping all the little barbs would cut down on the responses and clean up the board greatly, IMO. Bear in mind, I'm not asking folks to not refute what they believe is wrong, just no need for the invective(correct usage?) added along with it. The request is to realize that there is no need to reply in kind when an attack is perceived. I maintain you can get your points across better and have people listen if you keep it to the facts. It really would be nice to have a calmer board. Too many times I see the "he hit me first" line in some form or another. People will still jab and poke, the requst is to ignore it and respond to any valid point that you might find in the jab.

If you'll help me with Ellen, it's a deal. This whole thread would benefit greatly if you could and would simply state fact without your baiting, continual innuendo ("may", "appears", "might", etc.) and twisting of the wording in others' posts. As I asked a lonnnng time ago, your insistence at posting in this manner - and adding personal insult - does not help the thread, aide discussion (nor enable it) and only angers people. To date, it seems to be the only level at which you are capable of communicating. I don't see any wusses on this board. So if you attempt to corner or personally attack someone, they (myself included) will not just sit back and allow you to beat them on the head with no defense. Additionally, some of your so-called "facts" should and must be and will be refuted to prevent their mis-leading nature to remain as accepted. In spite of the fact that this will sound like "no I didn't, yes you did", you DID attack me personally first - and many times. My ONLY personal attack was ONCE calling you a jerk. Other comments I've made are observations on what you said or how you said them and have NOT been personal attacks. For example, my saying that you are "blowing smoke" is not a personal attack. It is a comment/observation on WHAT you said. So please do not imply or cause a reader to infer that you have (other than that one time) been personally attacked by me. All of us here have read your posts and seen your manner. Many of us have been treated the same way you have treated me: initial attempts to carry on a dialogue with you were nearly always and nearly immediately met with your sarcasm, arrogance, obnoxiousness and rudeness. You may consider the previous statement a personal attack, but it isn't. It is an observation and comment on your manner. Those of us here on this board don't need to be convinced that what I've said is true - but you do, as you cannot or refuse to see it.
