6/3/11 Contest Update Apparently, all those three-day weekend BBQs left investors with indigestion and little appetite to scarf up stocks. But biotechs did fare better than the broad market, as they have YTD. At Friday’s close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 14.34% YTD (vs. up 15.71% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median was up 11.39% YTD (vs. up 13.64% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 3.01% YTD (vs. up 5.43% YTD a week ago). First place MCBIO’s portfolio (up 51.72% YTD) managed to buck the down market scoring another weekly gain, with CRAZYP’s portfolio (up 37.46% YTD) and ROCKY’s portfolio (up 29.99% YTD) holding on to second and third place.. At Friday's close, 32 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the black with 14 of the 38 beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list.
