You simply cannot grasp it. You just DO NOT understand the most basic elements of accounting or finance, and certainly not of fiscal policy or the budget.

You are a very confused man...we are talking about the DEBT, today's debt is largely the product of republican tax cutting and lousy management...

The problem has nothing to do with Bush II. The problem is a direct result of two failed social programs: Medicare and Social Security -- both Democrat initiatives.

Today's debt has nearly everything to do with republican voodoo economics....the problem of unfunded liabilities WILL BE SS and Medicare if nothing is done to reduce costs, increase revenues, trim benefits, or all of the above. So far these programs are in surplus to the tune of ~~$5T

If you want to blame Bush for a few trillion, fine -- he DID provide the prescription drug program for seniors -- which has come in under budget every year until now, before Democrats unilaterally modified it to SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE ENTITLEMENT.

Not jsut bush...clearly the data i posted shows that three republican presidencies presided over the lion share of the DEBT on the books TODAY...stop trying to bullshit your way out of this.
