It now appears that the Volume Shadow Copy is turned off after restoring an image with True Image 2011.

If anyone else here has recently restored an image on Windows 7, using True Image 2011, go to services and see if Volume Shadow Copy is off. If so, True Image is causing this problem.

Have to do more digging into this, and maybe use the latest ISO from their site.

This is only affecting Windows 7, with True Image 2011 factory CD after a recovery. The CD may have a buggy version installed on it, when using it as a boot CD.
