PROFCO RESOURCES LTD. Symbol: PSO Industry: OIL News release via Canada NewsWire, Calgary 403-269-7605 -ME- Attention Business Editors: CALGARY, Nov. 17 /CNW/ - Profco Resources Ltd. (''PSO'' - Toronto) announced that the initial production test of the Albian formation, of the exploration well Tarpon Ike No. 1 offshore the Republic of Benin, contained negligible quantities of hydrocarbons. The Albian formation was considered the least likely of the two formations to be tested to contain hydrocarbons. The Company is now proceeding with preparations for the production test of the more prominent and promising Turonian formation. Approximately 140 feet of net sands of the formation will be perforated and tested. Tests are expected to by completed by Thursday and results will be announced when they are available.
