I was very suprised to discover that there is no chat line for PROFCO Resources, which trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange. This company has drilled several wells in Nigeria. They expect initial production from Nigeria to start before the end of 1997. This junior oil company has the potential to become a major international oil company. Their 1997 mandate (taken from the 1996 Annual Report) is to drill exploratory prospects with potential reserves of 500 million barrels of oil offshore Benin. Also they plan to participate in exploratory prospects with potential reserves of 2.3 billion barrels and 17 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in Tunisia (North Africa). Watch this stock. | ||||||||||||||
