Danes and Swedes both speak Scandinavian but sometimes can barely understand each other.

Danes speak Danish and Swedes speak Swedish and their mutual understanding is limited just like between Dutch (speaking Dutch) and Germans (speaking German).

Danish and Swedish are both Scandinavian languages just like Dutch and German are closely related.

There is no such thing as Scandinavian, which is thus spoken by nobody.

Out of the 4 languages above I happen to be perfectly proficient in 3 of them, so don't even try to argue - meatball.
