So Mr Clone - what say you? Shut it down? Or the shut it down warriors are extremist wackos? What say you? You know what I think. State your position - not just imply it.

>>>It is important for Ideological Warriors of all stripes, pro and con, to make their case about this important issue without calling each other insulting names or otherwise belittling each other.<<<

The internet is a "curse". Every Joe Blow now has a free avenue to voice his uneducated opinion. It's getting really hard to separate the garbage!

re <insulting names>

Much noise and foolishness on investment forums could be avoided if everyone followed 3 simple rules:

1. attack the idea, not the person
2. don't post any conclusion, unless you can back it with logic, facts, numbers, links
3. admit your biases; don't presume you have the Truth; objectivity is a myth

So, for instance, I Believe (note the capital B) in global warming. I also admit this is a religious belief, which informs my world-view. I freely admit I tend to ignore facts which contradict my Global Warming Belief.
