Yes Staff, I believe Nostradamus has a solid connection with our present obsession with Millenialism, given his 1999 prediction. I remember a story similar to yours about his burial, though I thought the year involved to be 1700--would have to cross check that. Anyway, Some years ago I received a Biblical Archaeology Review and in it they documented the ancient Israli preoccupation with the number 12 and its prominence in some temple excavation where the Zodiac in mosaic appeared set into a stone floor. Apparently way back when the scribes were high on that sort of thing. Later I heard a suggestion that Nostradamus was actually privy to ancient Hebrew prophesy passed along by alchemists or what have you. You may find this interesting--when Hitler was first overrunning France, his Luftwaffe dropped thousands of leaflets behind the French lines referring to a set of Nostradamus verses counterfeited by German intelligence to predict a complete German victory over France, with Southern France spared from the carnage. The effect was to send large numbers of French refugees south away from the roads to Paris and the channel ports and out of the way of approaching panzer divisions.

I just watched an HBO special on Nostrosdomus hosted by Orson Wells. It said the thrid anti-christ, who would wear a blue turbin from ME, would destroy the new city, NYC, on the 7th month of 1999. Than a great war would last for 27 years before 1000 years of peace. So I guess we have a year and half to make $'s.
