I see you would have been a buggy-whip investor at the turn of the century! Even natural gas power plants have to BUY FUEL. Something photovoltaics NEVER have to do.

When the up front costs are high as they e, it isn't complicated to see the roi is minimal even into perpetuity, if not negative (which I suspect it is). This is why solar is dead without subsidies.

What's the upfront cost for a 4Kwh grid tied system?
