What Rolling Stone pointed out is the best way for the Left to attack Bachmann. The same way they went after Palin. Her Evangelicalism. The Secular's dislike Christians. But they REALLY dislike Evangelicals. "Stupid snake handlers," is about the best they will say about them. I would like to see the religious breakout on "independents." I suspect they are highly secular.

Israel's best friends in this country are Evangelicals. Yet American Jews in particular really dislike them. Ironic.

In June 2011, Rolling Stone editor Eric Bates admitted to deleting several attributions to another reporters work Taibbi had included in an article on presidential candidate Michele Bachmann. Taibbi's article relied heavily on the reporting of G.R. Anderson Jr. of City Pages, Taibbi said, but his executive editor Eric Bates removed them citing "space concerns". The online copy of the article was amended to include reference to Anderson's research. Anderson regarded the incident as neither controversial or as a case of plagiarism.[19]
