Just had a conversation with a friend who is in South Florida. South Americans, especially Brazilians, are buying up the place. Their currency is high. Expensive Florida condos to them are bargains.

I think that if we will get a bout of hyperinflation - I mean, like in $75+ for a sixpack of Bud type of an event - the best thing is NOT to sell anything for any money. If you were lucky enough to be in anything that has value, try to sit it out. Realistic prices will come back.

Same with Brazil. Condo sales are up 11% in Miami this year, because of Brazilians buying cheap with their strong currency. Miami is the capital of South America at this point, in case you didn't know. The rest of Florida is in their 4th year of no housing sales, no building.
