<<I know this may be hard for you to believe but some women want to wear the burka.....they prefer it.......just like some women prefer not to wear makeup or shave their legs.>>

No strawman!

Those women are indoctrinated from birth with feelings of inferiority. I saw a documentary on the subject. 50% of the women say: "if it is gods will". God's will my ass. And they have to wear black in that heat, while men get to wear white!

Sometiems tjek you are as blind as a bat. Those women in the mid east are terribly abused. When women are given a choice, I know of no women who likes to cover up with a burka. How many American women do you see do that voluntarily?

In fact men and women love to dress up and adorn themselves. Look at any free culture even the most primitive. Women and men are hard wired that way. Just watch little girls who are raised in a free household to manifest their destiny.

Nothing little girls like more that dressing up or dressing up "barbi". Every little girl I ever knew would spend hours paying with their barbies. Dressing them up. And even the most self actualized women I have ever known often will even have breast implants. The young free girls love to wear bikini's and their pants low to titlate men.

PSYCHOLOGICALLY HEALTHY girls and woman like to seduce men. Hard to do when covered from head to tow with a black burka. It is in their genes. Just as it is in our genes to enjoy it.

Those women have been beaten down from bith and you call it freedom.

I know this may be hard for you to believe but some women want to wear the burka.

Yes indeed, some women also were led to believe that it was honorable to jump on the lit pyre. If you asked that "ready to jump" woman she would certainly have said that she was proud to do so and that she was "doing so out of her own free will." That is what I consider balloney. The fact of the matter is that the social pressure is so high that they are lead to believe that "it is a pride to wear the burkha."

The burkha is a social issue, not a religious issue. It signifies the suppression of the woman by man.

Consider Osama's first and fourth wife. The first does not wear the burkha any more. It is very likely she did so when she was younger and was under social pressures. But now she is not. She is not a sex object anymore. Now look at the youngest one. Consider Mrs. Bhutto. She did not wear a burkha. She was too powerful for a man to tell her to do so. There are many such incidences in the Indian subcontinent. The burkha issue is deeper than the growing of hair curls and piercing bodies. Those are done with a "free will". Burkha is a practice due to social pressures where men are trying to dominate the women. We need to tell the Muslim men "to man up"

Now you cannot ban a social issue similar to the situation with banning prostitution. That is why "sati" continues to be a practice in remote villages.
