Because he pretends to be a right winger, Colbert gets a lot of right wing guest to appear on his show. They know that he won't take them on, because it would be out of character. Last night, Colbert had Grover Norquist on! What a waste! A tremendous wasted opportunity that Stewart would not allow.

I was turned off by AC for a long time. Nothing rude but his thing during the Gulf spill. So it was just a 'noth of that' thing. But it seems since his time in Egypt, ya, that he's really turned it up. He has some excellent instincts. And he seems to be reaching out for a broader variety of voices. I don't have cable now, but I'll start checking cnn site for what he's up to. And Maddow brings some great stuff. Overall, she's a good voice to have out there. I hope she doesn't respond ala Joan Walsh and shut down the people who are trying to address these things with her.
