"Charites simply don't work. In fact during depressions people give less! and before the New Deal the poor and sick lived lives of misery. Old people who needed hip replacement or knw knees could afford them and live their lives out crippled."

could rich people get knee and hip replacements in the 1930s ?

The Tribe has the right to force them to share. Many people are sociopaths and will not share. If they want the safety of the tribe, then they have to share.

It ain't sharing if it is forced. That is called stealing. Believe it or not, this country was founded on the belief that individuals have rights and that they should be protected from the government and the majority (the tribe).

I had a hip replacement. How is a charity going to rpovide a hip replacement at $25,000? The tribe does that to keep the wisdom of th eold in the tribe and out fo compassion.

sounds like you should have put a little money into health insurance instead of expecting somebody else to pay for your needs.

It is OK as said earlier. Maybe you are a sociopath in which case I can understand why you wouldn't want to help?

you have an interesting definition for "sociopath". You also seem to be willing to make up lies about others (me) to further your agenda.

I consider stealing without guilt to be closer to sociopathic behavior than the idea of self reliance. You seem to consider stealing to be a virtue. Maybe our differences truly have become separated by too large of a chasm to even pretend that we are speaking the same language anymore.

Whatareyou doin over here? You on the Ron Paul train yet?! :)

I see you may be right on the Gay Marriage thingy after all... I really figured that "marriage" was a religious word or Catholic word... like "ordained"... and not just anyone could claim it.

Looks like the churches shoulda stayed out of politics. If they hadn't muddled in politics and gotten special rights for married people they might have kept a "marriage ceremony" as a churchly service, rather than a legal one.

Did you notice that dopey M. Bachman blubbering something about a constitutional ammendment about "marriage"? She's toast of course, as is (thankfully) her muddling in rights at the national level.
